This Blog is Alive!

Northern Flicker -  this bird has been invading our bird feeders, which is rather odd behaviour for this woodpecker. It's been fun capturing it on camera though!
The following is just having fun with water droplets. With of course, macro filters!
Bleeding Heart

Then, it snowed!

After it snowed for a few hours..... the American Goldfinches arrived at our feeder!

Strange weather. We must be in Washington State.

  1. Flickers are probably the most aggressive in the woodpecker family. I would say the Red-bellied comes 2nd. I have yet to get a good photo of a flicker, though I have a friendly collection of Red-bellieds. You ought to guess the bird on my blog, since it seems no one else knows birds too well!
