Randomness

Joyful and thankful am I... for my life... and all the day-to-day happenings...
The smell and beauty of flowers, waves crashing against rocks, a good grade, ice-cream on a warm and sunny day, the gentle breeze, an honest friend, a laughing child, music, books, shooting stars, the lunar eclipse, the rings on Saturn, counting the stars in the sky, understanding a really difficult concept, the sound of a running brook, a close friend, all the tall trees and the sky that seems to go on and on forever, a momma deer with her young ones prancing in an open field, the sound of rain, melodic calls from birds, fresh blueberries right from the plant, the smiles and the laughter of young ones, hot tea, knowing that you are loved, someone believing in you and a wonderful family is what makes MY life worth living for! What about your life?

One of my very favorite Bible verses - Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Have a great Monday!

Spiderwebs

“Experience is never limited, and it is never complete; it is an immense sensibility, a kind of huge spider-web of the finest silken threads suspended in the chamber of consciousness, and catching every air-borne particle in its tissue.” -Henry James

Sauk Mountain Hike

This is my all time favorite hike! Our family does it at least twice a year. Last night we headed up the trail (yes it's up a mountain) at about 6 pm, we arrived at the top just after 7 pm. Our family wanted to arrive at the top just before the sun was setting - we made it JUST in time. Lets just say it was one of the most amazing days in my life. The view with the sun shining on everything was beyond spectacular. I took over 330 pictures (I had a very tough time trying to decide which ones to include here)We even saw a Black Bear across the other side of the mountain.

I have no idea as to what number 3 and 4 is, but I thought it looked pretty neat, what do you think?

Flower & Fledgling

We have a Robin's nest in one of the apple trees near our garden. Yesterday I noticed one of the fledglings on our 4-wheeler - of all places! I ran inside to get the camera thinking that it would soon be gone, but to my surprise, when I got back the little robin was still there.

I just love this time of year- we have flowers bursting into life everywhere. This shot is of a Lily.
