Fall is Here!

"There is no season when such pleasant and sunny spots may be lighted on, and produce so pleasant an effect on
the feelings, as now in October."

Nature never goes out of style.  ~Author Unknown
Sometimes I do get to places just when God's ready to have somebody click the shutter.  ~Ansel Adams
I love to think of nature as an unlimited broadcasting station, through which God speaks to us every hour, if we will only tune in.  ~George Washington Carver
I think that eventually every nature lover becomes a nature photographer..... because they truly do appreciate the natural surroundings....
A picture is worth a thousand words.....
A photograph is usually looked at - seldom looked into.  ~Ansel Adams
I think a photography class should be a requirement in all educational programs because it makes you see the world rather than just look at it.  ~Author Unknown

There is nothing I find more enjoyable in this whole entire world then to spend the day out in nature photographing what it has to offer! I mean, there is a constant show going on right outside your doors.  The flow of a stream, the birds flitting by, the change of the light across the meadow, the sudden change in a sunrise or a sunset, a lightning and thunderstorm, the sound of rain drops on the window/roof, the grass blowing in the breeze... I could go on and on. Nature is God's canvas. And it's an amazing one!  So why not capture what it has for us? Just think about how great the invention of the camera was? Almost everyone you see walking down the street has some sort of camera on hand; whether is be a phone camera, a film camera, a dslr, a point & shoot....  It really makes me smile when I see someone taking the time to capture that moment.

Every picture has a story.....

Quilts

Memories are stitched with love.  ~Author Unknown

A bed without a quilt is like a sky without stars.  ~Author Unknown
Good friends are like quilts - they age with you yet never lose their warmth.  ~Author Unknown
Hem your blessings with thankfulness so they don't unravel.  ~Author Unknown
My Aunt wanted me to photograph her quilts for her. So after pondering on how I was going to go about that - I finally figured it out today! Here are just a few of the 100 shots I got. It was very interesting and fun all at the same time - photographing fabric is kind of neat! Isn't the choice of fabric great? They are really beautiful Aunt Kay!

Flowers, Spider, Apples, Dandelion, Leaves and Squash!

Do you think that is a long enough title? I think so!  I had no idea what to call this entry, so I just went ahead and started naming off what happened to be in this post. I'm sure I've left out something, but that is okay. So here is a whole bunch of random things that just happened to catch my eye. Ha, ha the very first two pictures are, well, the middle part of an apple. I must laugh a little here about these two shots. How many people do you know who cut an apple and use that as a subject matter? Somebody who is obviously in desperate need for subject matter, right? That would be me! I must admit I think they turned out okay.  Notice the star in the center of the apple? I thought that was pretty amazing looking. Okay... enough about my apple pictures.  Now I'm not going to talk about each individual shot 'cause we'd be here all day if I did that. I'll spare you from reading anymore. I hope you like the pictures and are having a wonderful weekend with whatever you may be doing!
