Leaves and Flowers

I guess you could say I went a little overboard on the pictures for today, right? Here are six more that I took just a few moments ago. Enjoy!

Sunrise, Plants, Spider and More!

Isn't nature just beautiful? I mean, I didn't even set up this shot - the thistle was leaning up against the fence, thus the composition part is already done!
Not quite as clear as I would of liked it - I'm thinking I really need a macro lens.
The more you look... the more you'll see...

This is what you are rewarded with if your up at the crack of dawn!

Yay! All of these photos were shot in manual mode. Hopefully I'm getting it, I think! My favorite is the first and the third one. What about yours?

A Post Each Day This Week

So... this week I'm going to try my very best to do a post every day. The reason is -- I start college on Monday, the 20th. I have a pretty good feeling that this blog won't be getting a whole lot of attention, thus I'm going to take photos every day this week and post them here!

I'd upload some pictures now to post, but unfortunately  I need to sign out.  My siblings must use the computer for class.

I'll post some pics later on in the day!

A Fun Afternoon with Lazlo!

And yes, his shirt was WAYY to large on him!
Lazlo... words don't describe how much I adore you. You are so sweet, kind and funny. Thanks for letting me take 186 pictures of you. And you are very photogenic too.

Unidentified Lichen and Flowers to!

Yay - finally a new post. I've been busy and finding time to take pictures is difficult; let alone it's been raining a lot lately. Might anyone know what the first two pictures are of? I'd love to know! Pictures of adorable Lazlo coming up next!

Death Valley Trip - Continued

Sandunes
Scotty's Castle
Just an old abandoned shack
Scotty's Castle
I thought this would make a neat picture
I'm sorry, but I don't recall what this was
Sun through Clouds
Heavenly Lights
Sparkling Water

I intended in posting just a few pictures over the last year or so that I have not included in previous posts. As I was uploading more and more pictures, I realized each photo was from our trip to Death Valley. Out of all the 15,000 in something pictures here in iPhoto my eyes just kind of went to the "Death Valley Trip" pictures. I guess there were quite a few I left out. Forgive me if you've already seen some of these. All I have to say is this: if you haven't been to Death Valley you must go sometime soon! It is a very unique place all on its own, and a place I definitely would like to go back to! By the way, if you are following my blog I wish to thank you for being so faithful. Your comments are much appreciated. Have a lovely evening.

Yesterday

Yesterday evening Dad, Casidy and I all headed down to the Skagit River for an evening of fun. They were going to fish. I was taking pictures. I'm not one that enjoys fishing, so I just decided that I'd go along for the ride and of course to take pictures!!! Thus I brought the camera and also a good book to keep me happy. So for about 45 minutes I just walked along the shore taking pictures of mostly leaves.  They kind of made a good subject matter. After taking 101 shots of these old leaves - I got pretty tired of that. I soon went into the jeep where I read Aesop's Fables until they were done fishing. So without further ado - here are the shots from last night. What do you think of them? Have a great Monday! :)

Isn't God's handy-work just incredible?

Our Trip to the Ocean

Waves
And of course we had to have the campfire!
Pretty Self Explanatory
This is one of the most artistic, unusual and beautiful things I've ever seen. It was all imprinted in the sand just waiting for its picture.
This one almost looks like a tree with the limbs stretching out.
I just love this one for some reason!
The view right before the ocean.
The wind was blowing so hard you could see the sand blowing
Go to the Light.....
Sunsets (how can one ever get tired of watching them?)
A lot of things that were totally unexpected happened to me on the first day of our trip! 1. I slammed my head while I was shutting the back hatch to the van. Guess that's what I get for being short. :P  2. While down at the beach a dog came up to the camera bag and did his business! Man I was SO MAD!!!  3. I can't fly a kite if the world depended on it. I couldn't ever get it to stay up. haha that was fun... 4. I got nailed in the face THREE TIMES by the kite all in  10 minutes. I lost an earring and my glasses came off. That was interesting. My Dad was flying it and yeah... I just seemed to always be in the wrong place at the wrong time, I guess.  Other then all of that, I had one wonderful time ! :) What do you think of the pictures?
