Not one word could possibly ever describe the beauty of our earth. Beauty appears in the simplest of things. I like to capture the moment forever and share it with other people. From dewy grass, to a butterfly, to mountains, to people, to even the smallest of insects... I hope you enjoy my journey through the the lens. Welcome to my blog! This blog is dedicated to Lee Mann, my true inspiration to my nature photography.

Cedar Waxwing
Yesterday morning I discovered that we have a cedar waxwing nest in one of our apple trees in our backyard. The babies are so precious!

Hummingbird
A Female Rufous Hummingbird. Finally, after 3 or 4 years of waiting to get a excellent shot of one of these I managed to get one!!! They are really fast, so it is hard to take a picture of one in flight. Enjoy!

A Little Bit About Myself
My name is Kaylie Mae Brown. I'm fifteen in a half and I live out in the country in western Washington. If you like the mountains it's a grand place to be. I think there is no better place in this world then to spend your life exploring and hiking the mountains and woods! Nature is a lifelong friend. Watching wildlife is fun to do.I have two younger sisters and I've been homeschooled since I was nine. I live on a small farm and we grow a lot of our own food. Hiking, birding, singing, playing the guitar, playing the piano, reading, gardening, being with my family and spending time outdoors are things I greatly enjoy. I LOVE nature photography. I started using my Grandma's camera when I was five or so and I haven't put a camera down since.Last year I joined a government club and I'm in poultry 4-H as well along with photography. I really like classical music. Beethoven was an amazing composer, actually they all were... Lord Willing, one day, I think it would be fun if I can grab my camera and jump on a train or plane and spend some time travelling and photographing all the spectacular places that are out there just calling my name. I would like to go to Europe, Ecuador, Galapagos Islands, Austria, Africa, Washington D.C. and any other place that I have not been to before. I would like to hike the alps one day. Birds - are so interesting. From photographing to writing about them to reading, I enjoy it all. I like to sit down and observe them in there natural habitat. I can't express to you how happy I am with my life right now! One's youth goes by to fast and I like to cherish and live every day to the fullest. God Bless You All. Thanks for viewing my blog!

Hike
We just got back from a lovely 8.5 hike called Boulder River. We hiked through the woods and saw this spectacular waterfall. (I wasn't expecting to see a waterfall) The thing is I DID NOT bring my camera because it was raining and I didn't want to get it all wet, so any ways I'm pretty darn disappointed right now that I didn't take my camera with me. I WILL go on that hike again soon to get some photos of the falls!!! With all that being said please NEVER leave your doors with out a camera because you never know what you might see!
For now....

Creek
Yesterday was my mom's 40th birthday, so she wanted to do something special. We went fossil hunting up day creek road. We found several leaves, flowers, and ferns imprinted in the rocks. It was a pretty awesome day! The following are a few pictures I took along the trail.

Roses and Trees
We went swimming yesterday at a friend's house and she has such lovely flower beds and trees around her property I couldn't resist taking a picture of those beautiful, delightful roses.
